    You can assign permissions to a user for read-write or just read only data while adding user in "User Manager" module.

    Set "User Type" to "ViewerPlus User", if you want to give both read and write permission from device to particular user. This user can view as well as update records on device.

    Set "User Type" to "Viewer User", if you want to give read only access on device to user. This user can only view records on device.

    You can control the home screen view of device side Cellica Database application by setting "Home Screen Preferences".

    You can also set access permissions at "Profile Level".

    While adding profile, on "Select User Page", click on "Sync Back" property. Here you can set record manipulation permissions of the selected user for current profile. You can set "Add/Edit/Delete" record permissions.

    How to use Reports feature supported in Cellica Database Anywhere/Wi-Fi (SOHO/Enterprise Edition)?

    Reports enables user to format his data in an attractive and informative layout for printing or viewing.

    Cellica Database includes a module namely "Report Manager". Use this to design reports for profiles as per your requirement.

    In Cellica Database Report Manager module, You can design new custom report and import an existing report.

    For Report, you can select page size for your report with page sizes (Letter, Legal, A4).

    The "Report Manager" lists all available controls, Label, Textbox, Formula, Location, Unbound-Image, Grid, Shape control, Container and Sub-Report in ToolBox.

    Drag and drop a control on to the report canvas to create it. Use the properties panel to modify properties of the control, such as caption.

    To display "Logo" on report, use "Unboud image control" with "Content Type" property set to "Logo". Select name of logo from available logo name list added in "Logo Manager".

    "Label" control can be used to display different texts like, Static Text, Page Number, Fixed Date ( TimeStamp), Current Date ( Now).

    Draw different shapes like "Line", "Rectangle", "Oval" and "Rounded Rectangle".

    You can set "Border Color", Border Thickness" and "Border Styles". Also you can fill shapes with different colors.

    Use "TextBox" control to display column data from profile fields. Drag "TextBox" control on report and set its "DataColumn" property to column name in profile.

    Set properties like "Font Name" , "Font Size", "For Color". You can display border around the column text on report using "Show Border" property.

    Use "Container" control to add images and digital signature to the report

    Drag "Container" control on the report and map its "DataColumn" to column containing image or signature data.

    Sub-Report let you to embed multiple reports within the same page. You can use them for describing relationships between tables such as Parent-Child or Master-Details.

    Drag the "Sub-Report" control on report , set related fields mapping from both profiles.

    The grid control brings up a spreadsheet view, allowing you to map datasets to the grid view.

    Use "Formula" control to add calculated field on reports. These are calcualted when the report get generated at runtime depending on the values of column and controls used in it.

    User can add "Page Number" in footer of report. Drag "Label" control on report and set "Content Type" proeprty to "Page Number".

    How to use my company Logo on Forms and Reports in Cellica Database.

    Please Use "Logo" option provided in "Preferences" module of Cellica Database desktop application to manage Logos.

    Click on "Logo" button. You can Add/Modify/Remove/Reset logo.

    Click on "Add Logo" button"

    Select logo image. Supported formats are ".bmp/.png/.gif/.jpg".

    Select user from available user list. This logo will be available for selected users.

    Now we will see how to use this logo on form. Open a form in "Form Manager".

    Drag "Unbound Image" control on "Form". Set "Content Type" property to "Logo".

    Now set "Logo Name" from the available list of logos. This list will shows logos added in Logo section of "Preferences" module.

    Now save form and sync from device.

    How to use various "Button" controls in Forms of Cellica Database?

    In Cellica Database, Buttons can be classified under two categories:

    A) Predefined behavior action buttons.

    B) Custom behavior action button.

    For using "Button" control on form, simply drag the "Button" control on form and set "Action" property to required operation for available operation list.

    A) Predefined behavior action buttons:

    1) Navigation Buttons:

    - First : Move to first record on form/subform.

    - Next : Move to next record on form/subform.

    - Previous : Move to previous record on form/subform.

    - Last : Move to last record on form/subform.

    - Find : Search for particular records using search string.

    - Go To Record : Move to specific record using record number on form/subform.

    - Go To Form : Opens related form.

    2) Record operations:

    - New : Add new record on form/subform.

    - Edit : update current record on form/subform.

    - Delete : Remove current record on form/subform.

    - Copy Record : Copy content of current record in to new record on form/subform.

    3) Buttons using record data:

    - Phone Call : Makes a phone call to a number value contained in mapped DataColumn.

    - Send SMS: Send a SMS to a number value contained in mapped DataColumn.

    - Send Email: Populates "To" field using data contained in mapped DataColumn and present compose mail interface .

    - Go To URL: Opens URL contained in mapped DataColumn value.

    - Go To Map: Shows location on map using "Longitude" and "Latitude" value from mapped DataColumn.

    4) Other Buttons:

    - Capture: Allows to capture image of current form.

    - Print: Prints form.

    - Report: Opens assigned report (Supported SOHO/Enterprise Edition)

    - Design View: Shows "Design View" of fields ( Field Name and Data Type) on form.

    - Help: Opens assigned help file.

    B) Custom behavior action button (Supported SOHO/Enterprise Edition):

    Button control with 'Action' property set to "Custom"

    You need to create a macro by clicking on "Macro" property of "Form and Tab Properties". Now assign this macro in "Event" property of the "Custom" button.

    How to use Formula control in Cellica Database?

    You can use 'Formula' control to perform mathematical calculations on form.

    'Formula Designer' uses field names, control id's, mathematical functions and operators to design formula.

    Drag 'Formula' control on form/subform. You can set DataColumn to Formula control.

    Use 'Formula' property to design formula for control.

    "Function' groups various mathematical functions under 'Conversion', 'Math' and "SQL Aggregate' headings.

    Select the required column name, control id, function name or operator and click on 'Paste' button.

    How to use TextBox control to view and read different kind of data.

    'TextBox' control supports 5 "Content Types" namely, 'TextBox', 'QRCode', 'DeviceID', 'Hide Characters' and 'URL'.

    Drag 'TextBox' control on form and set "Content Type" property to desired type from available list.

    Use 'QRCode' content type, if you want to read 'Barcode/QRCode' value in 'TextBox' control while 'New/Edit' operation.

    "DeviceID' content type will populate 'DeviceID/IMEI' of corresponding device in Text Box control in 'New/Edit' operation mode.

    Use 'Hide Characters' content type, if you want to enter confidential information or you do not want to show readable content from 'TextBox' control.

    Use 'URL' content type, if your column data holds some URL value and instead of showing URL you want to show content of the URL to user on device.

    'TextBox' Content Type is default content type indicating 'TextBox' will take input from keyboard and display the textual data.

    How to use Location/GPS Data and maps in Cellica Database.

    In Cellica Database, User can use "Location Services" or "Apple approved external GPS accessory" like Bad Elf and "Maps" to work with location data.

    Use 'Location' control while designing form. Location services use GPS along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations to determine your approximate location.

    Location control can hold 8 possible values namely, 'Latitude', 'Longitude', 'Latitude/Longitude', 'Heading', 'Region', 'Altitude', 'Horizontal Accuracy', 'Vertical Accuracy'

    Use "Auto Update" property to set Location control for automatic update for assigned value type during operations like New Record (OnNew) or Update Record (OnEdit) or Both.

    You can use 'Data Column' with Datatype 'Double' or 'Text' for mapping with Location control.

    Set 'Location Type' to 'Latitude/Longitude' to get comma separated Latitude and Longitude value.

    You can view location on 'Map' using 'Button' control with 'Action' property set to 'Go To Map'. Map 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' properties to respective columns.

    When you tap on this button the value for 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' is used to display location on map.

    To use Location Services in Cellica Database, you first need to confirm some setting on your device.

    In Settings of your device make sure Location Services are ON.

    And set 'Use Location Info' to ON in preferences in Cellica Database application

    You can also work with location coordinates by 'Long Press" on 'Location' or 'TextBox' control.

    Long Press will give you options to get Address and Location Coordinates for current value in control as well as for current location.

    You can also view the location on map by using address or location information in form control using "Show On Map' option.

    How to use Combobox control in Cellica Database?

    LOOKUP ComboBox:

    Combo box can have values from a column of another profile. These values can change as values in mapped profile column will change.
